Growth Factor Research
Growth factor research examines the hypothalamic-pituitary axis and the signalling cascades downstream of it: release patterns of somatotropic cells, receptor binding at GHRH and ghrelin receptors, IGF-dependent feedback, and TGF-beta pathways that limit the growth of muscle tissue. Work is carried out on pituitary cell lines, on myoblast cultures and in preclinical models with time-resolved sampling. The substance classes separate according to receptor target: CJC-1295 and Tesamorelin are GHRH analogues with differently modified sequences and half-lives, Ipamorelin belongs to the selective ghrelin receptor ligands, and ACE-031 is a receptor-Fc construct from myostatin signalling research. Methodologically decisive here is the sampling design of a study: because somatotropic secretion is pulsatile, the sampling interval, the collection period and assay sensitivity determine whether an effect can be measured at all – single measurements systematically misrepresent the pattern. Each batch is tested in-house by HPLC and UV/Vis spectroscopy, and the batch-specific certificate of analysis is viewable before purchase; how to read it is explained in the COA Guide.
