Metabolic Research
Metabolic research examines how cells and tissues take up, store and process energy substrates. Its subjects are incretin and receptor signalling pathways, mitochondrial respiratory chains, lipolysis in adipocyte cultures, NAD salvage enzymes and nuclear receptors that regulate oxidative metabolism in muscle cells – studied in cell culture, on isolated mitochondria and in preclinical metabolic models. The compound classes act at different points: Retatrutide belongs to the multi-receptor incretin analogues, MOTS-C is a mitochondrially encoded peptide, 5-Amino-1MQ a small molecule from enzyme inhibitor research, AOD-9604 a fragment of the growth hormone sequence and SLU-PP-332 a synthetic receptor agonist. The central methodological question here is batch comparability: anyone extending dose-response curves across longer experimental series must reconcile purity profile, peptide content and counterion between batches, otherwise EC50 values shift without any biological cause. Each batch is tested in-house by HPLC and UV/Vis spectroscopy; the batch-specific certificate of analysis is available before purchase – the COA Guide explains how to read it. For research use only. Not for use in or on the human body.
